This is a tremendous loss to the music community he's irreplaceable. I don't think there is one musician in Syracuse who hasn't been touched by Donald's passing. Donald was a incredible musician! I recently reviewed a video I shot with him at the JazzFest having a great time with the Black Lites...It goes without saying that he truly took showmanship to the next level! After FX played at my daughter's reception and helped us put on an awesome party. Don's musical talents and charisma was amazing. And I will always remember the grin he had when he was playing. God rest, Don.

I am glad to have the memories of sharing the stage with all of you and Donald on many ocassions. Donald came to see me sing not too long ago showing his support. He always had good encouraging words for me and I hope you will keep your memories of Donald as encouragement to continue as he would want you to do. Music is a LIFETIME passion we all share-just think-He is up there playing the keys, dancing, singing with all his favorites. Another star added to the night sky...You are in my thoughts and prayers, always.

We are deeply saddened by the tragic death of Donald Ransom. He has left his mark in this town as one of the most talented musicians ever. He was a wonderful man who will never be replaced.
